About

Hola! My name is Mariana, and I am a kidlit author-illustrator originally from Argentina and currently based in California.

Because life sometimes can feel too grim, I want to use my art to create stories that bring warmth to readers or help them explore complex emotions, but always in a hopeful and positive way.  For my personal projects, I am specially interested in creating coming-of-age stories, romance, and fantasy. For collaborations, I like upbeat stories, works that help struggling readers, or works that aim to de-stigmatize social and health issues that young readers in real life may encounter or struggle with.

I am a member of SCBWI and other online art communities such as KCU and SVSLearn, and I continually strive to expand my skills.
